Why Tenpin is top of the class for student fun

It's a busy time of year for students. Whether it's sitting exams, or preparing and handing in those assignments or dissertations, spring and summer are key times in their academic year.

But that doesn't mean they can't find time for fun! And there's no better place for students to unwind than at Tenpin.

Here are just a few reasons why every night can be a student night at our centres...

It won't break the bank

Student loan all maxed out? Being a student isn't exactly easy on the finances - or the few finances you have, anyway.

Well at Tenpin, we realise that - and that's why we've got a special deal in place for students aged 16 and over.

If you're a student, you can enjoy a whopping 50% off the standard bowling price at the majority of our centres. Check your local centre for availability.

That's right – you can bowl for half price, as long as you're in further education and have a valid student/NUS ID card.

The student deal is available from 6pm Sunday to 5pm Friday, giving you lots of chances to fit in a Tenpin session.

We also offer off-peak rates at Harlow, Leeds and Walsall.

Fancy a swift one?

Whisper it quietly but students have been known to like the odd drink or two.

Well, at Tenpin, we have fully licensed bars where you can get reasonably priced refreshments, whether alcoholic or not.

And if you fancy watching the big match while you're there, many of our bars have TNT and Sky Sports, so you can enjoy it with your mates.

Food on the go

All that bowling and excitement can be hungry work - but you don't want to break off from the game.

No worries - at Tenpin, food can be delivered to your bowling lane just by scanning the QR code.

" A what?" think the oldies. But you're students - YOU know what a QR code is!

So get your phones out and the tasty food - mouth-watering burgers, nachos, pizzas and more - will soon be on its way to your lane without you having to miss your turn.

It's not just bowling

Colourful, exciting and enjoyably noisy, our arcade games feature everything from adrenaline-fuelled 'driving' and 'shooting' games to the chance to pick up a soft toy - as long as you grab it correctly and let go at the right time!

And even if your grabbing technique fails you, there's still a chance to go home with a gift or two because on many games, you can collect tickets as you play and redeem them for a prize.

All of our centres have arcade games - and you don't even have to book.

But there are other more traditional games on offer - like pool, for example, at all centres, or even a spot of table tennis at several of our complexes.

Enter Sector 7

Need a break from lectures or all that coursework? Fancy letting off steam away from your studies?

Students looking for a competitive and addictive break should have a go at Laser Tag -  called Sector 7 at Tenpin, which you can play at 18 of our centres.

The perfect activity for groups of friends, this 4D experience sees players pull on their vests, head into the arena, with its atmospheric mix of fog and strobe lights, and start picking off your opponents!

It's a real adrenaline rush as you battle for the highest score.

And if you have your laser battles in the week, you can come as a team of up to six and play against other groups while you enjoy 30 minutes of laser tag in the arena.

But if you fancy the entire arena to yourself and want to come in a larger group, then our weekend package is the option for you.

Going up the wall

Augmented reality climbing walls at our Cheshire Oaks, Feltham and Star City centres are really popular attractions - and so cheap too! For just a quid - and even the poorest student can afford that - you can have a go scaling our ValoClimb wall, which has images projected onto it to make for a more challenging, enjoyable and interactive experience. There are various games to test your climbing skills on, including climbing to a backdrop of stunning views like Yosemite or Mount Fuji, or with sparks literally flying as you climb a futuristic circuit board while trying to avoid being burned!

Beer pong and a sing-song!

When it comes to fun bar games and a good old karaoke sing-song, students are usually top of the class - and at many of our Tenpin centres, you can do one or both. In our brilliant karaoke rooms, only you and your student mates can hear whether you've got a voice to die for - or you commit musical murder when you start to sing! With around 6,000 tracks to choose from, there's something for every musical taste. And because it's just you and your pals in there, it's the perfect chance to unleash your inner pop star in an embarrassment-free zone. And when you've finished your song, how about a game of beer pong? Available at our Acton, Kingston, Leeds and Manchester Printworks centres, beer pong is a simple game where opposing teams try to throw a ping pong ball into cups on the other side of a table. Succeed and a member of the opposing team has to drink the beer from the cup. The winner is the first team to eliminate all the other team's cups - and as you can imagine, it's a brilliant - if rather boozy - laugh for groups of strictly over-18s.
