Why Tenpin is Something To Sing About
We've got more than just bowling to shout about at Tenpin - we have plenty to sing about too!

And as they're private and sound-proofed, it means that even if you're tone deaf and can't hold a tune, you can boldly sing away to your heart's content without inflicting it on anyone but the family or friends you're there with - and they've probably heard it all before!

Fifteen of our centres have fabulous karaoke rooms - or "embarrassment-free zones" as we like to call them.
Why do we call them that? Well, what often holds people back from belting out a classic tune with gusto is the fear of ridicule from strangers who are probably no better at singing, but think they are!
But that doesn't even come into the equation at Tenpin because our karaoke sessions are all in specially designed music rooms where just you and your companions can experience your vocals in all their glory!
Whether it's a whispered soft ballad or a belted-out rock classic, you can give it your all and not worry about the consequences - apart from seeing your family and friends with their fingers in their ears!
And you won't be spoilt for choice, with thousands of songs to select from.
BUT WHAT TO SING?
It's the ultimate karaoke conundrum - which songs will showcase your unique vocal talent?
You could maybe try some classics that are very loosely related to bowling.
How about The Smiths' Bigmouth Strikes Again, for example?
Or Roll With It by Oasis?
The Searchers' 60s classic Needles and Pins could hit the spot.
And there's anything by the Bowling Stones, of course!

* Sweet Caroline - Neil Diamond
For years, this was just a pleasant, country-tinged pop song - until sports fans got hold of it! Now, it's sung by supporters at sporting events across the world - including the joyous "so good, so good, so good!" addition to the chorus! So, if it's good enough for football or cricket fans, it's good enough for a Tenpin crowd! Altogether now, "Sweeeeeet Caroline..."
* We Will Rock You - Queen
Listen to sports crowds trying to sing another Queen "biggie", We Are The Champions, and you realise that's a very difficult song to sing - after all, not many of us have Freddie Mercury's vocal range! The anthemic barnstormer We Will Rock You, however, isn't quite so tough - and if you're struggling vocally, you can always just do the clapping above your head instead.
* Dancing Queen - Abba
"You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life" - everybody knows it and almost everybody loves it. True, no-one can sing it quite like the Abba girls but in a Tenpin karaoke room, you can have a darn good try!
* Don't Stop Believing - Journey
Ok, so your ball has gone in the gutter again. But don't you dare stop believing that one day, you'll get that elusive strike. Pump that fist, sing your heart out and BELIEVE!

If it worked for Rocky Balboa, it can work for you - this knockout track can get you on track for a bowling points victory.

For example, at our Crewe, Dudley, Gloucester and Feltham centres, the little ones can have fun in our fantastic soft play areas, while in 13 of our centres, our Houdini Escape Rooms are guaranteed to test your puzzle-solving skills as you race against the clock to gain your freedom!
Players must work together to find clues, solve hidden puzzles and decipher codes to escape a themed room - but you only have one hour before the timer runs out!
