Roll & Raise - A Tenpin Charity Event, Supporting Macmillan

How would you like to be part of an incredible charity event? 

Well here’s a warm welcome to our fundraising event ‘Roll and Raise’, proudly hosted by Tenpin, on our quest to raise funds for Macmillan. We’re aiming big this October, with our mission to raise over £10,000 with our exclusive ticket-only fundraising event, which can be purchased via Eventbrite. 

We’ll tell you more later, but let's first talk about Macmillan, as they’re the main stars of the show, and this event is all about supporting the fantastic work they do.

Macmillan is on hand to do whatever it takes to support people living with cancer.  A huge donation like £10,000 would help with one of the below:

• Fund a much-needed Macmillan Nurse for 2 months.
• Help 28 people living with cancer with their day-to-day living costs.
• Support the running of the invaluable Macmillan support line for 24 hours.

It certainly all adds up, and donations, big or small, have a positive impact. To put this into context on a smaller scale:

• £25 can fund an hour of the Macmillan Support line, which gives vital information and support.
• £50 can ensure a Macmillan Nurse is there when someone is diagnosed with cancer.
• £100 can provide benefit advice so people with cancer get the best deal possible.

Roll and Raise - the finer details 

Our latest fundraising event, ‘Roll and Raise’ will take place at Milton Keynes on the 11th October 2023.

Prepare to be part of a truly special event promising non-stop entertainment and the chance to make a meaningful impact. It's all about good times, good friends, and doing good for those in need of some support.

Purchase a £5 entry ticket and you’ll get the chance to:

• Enjoy a game of bowling on one of our 16 state-of-the-art lanes.
• Step into our futuristic battleground and play a game of laser tag with fellow fundraisers. Grab your infra-red laser tag guns as you battle your way to victory.
• Sing your heart out in one of our private karaoke rooms with thousands of karaoke songs to choose from.
• Try to break free from one of our escape rooms hosted by Houdini’s.

Tenpin Milton Keynes is giving customers an unmissable opportunity to enjoy a whole host of exciting indoor activities during this one-night event. Simply pre-purchase a £5 per person ticket from Eventbrite, and all of our Milton Keynes activities are up for the taking on the night, on a first come first served basis. Get in quick on the night, for the opportunity to grab bowling, karaoke, laser tag and escape room slots. Keep the good times rolling and raise money in the process! What’s not to love?

100% of your £5 ticket goes straight to Macmillan, a charity that's all about supporting those affected by cancer. By joining us, you're not only having an enjoyable night out, but you're also giving back to Macmillan. Of course, there’s no stopping you if you’d like to donate more via our Just Giving Page which we’ll highlight later.

If you don’t live in the area, fret not as our other 50 Tenpin entertainment centres across the UK will also be taking part on a smaller scale, with 2 games of bowling up for grabs for £5 per person. That way we can all come together to raise as much money as possible.

 

The BIG Event

• We’ll be selling a limited amount of tickets to our Milton Keynes event.
• The Roll & Raise event will be taking place from 6pm until close on the 11th October.
• Tickets must be purchased in advance via Eventbrite so get booking as you won’t want to miss out.
• The cost for the MK event will be £5pp*, and on arrival, you’ll have the option to sign up for bowling, karaoke, laser tag, and our escape rooms experiences by Houdini (all on a first-come, first-served basis).
• On arrival at Tenpin Milton Keynes on the night, simply book in for the activities you’d like to take part in.
• Our fundraising efforts will continue on the night. So why not play the Tombola with different prizes up for grabs? The best bit is all money raised will be added to the Macmillan charity pot.
• If you’re in a position and would like to donate more, you can do so by heading to our Just Giving Page.

Our other 50 Tenpin Sites across the UK

• Our other Tenpin sites will be offering 2 games of bowling for £5 with all proceeds going to Macmillan.
• These 50 sites will all be pre-bookable directly with your local Tenpin centre by popping in.
• There will be two time slots available, either 6pm-7pm or 7pm-8pm.

Why is Macmillan our chosen charity? 

We’d all agree that there are plenty of worthy causes but currently, Tenpin is proud to be supporting Macmillan Cancer Support throughout 2023 and into 2024. Sadly we have all been affected by cancer at some level, and support is key in rough times. We couldn’t put this better than Macmillan themselves:

“Right now, more than 3 million people are living with cancer in the UK. By 2030 this figure will rise to 4 million. We’re here to help everyone with cancer live life as fully as they can, by providing physical, financial and emotional support. We'll do whatever it takes, no matter what a person's needs are, we will listen and support them however they need us to — big or small.”

Here, at Tenpin we are committed to fundraising through great events like this, and raising awareness with customers, colleagues, and suppliers alike.

We’ll be doing one ourselves at our Tenpin Support Centre this September to kickstart our autumn fundraising.
