Tenpin national competition winner strikes it lucky and wins Mini Cooper

Debbie Higgins from Crewe struck it lucky when she won first prize in Tenpin’s national ‘Win a Mini’ competition, which attracted over 70,000 entries.  Debbie was presented with her brand new Mini Cooper at Tenpin’s bowling centre in Stoke yesterday afternoon.

Shane Quinn from Tenpin handed over keys to the immaculate new yellow and black striped Mini Cooper, whose exacting specifications were chosen by Debbie and her seven-year-old daughter Sammi, whose favourite colour is yellow!

Sammi also played her part in winning the car – she kissed the winning entry form before it was dropped into the entry box!  Debbie who hails form Hough near Crewe came bowling in Stoke on that fateful night in May.

Debbie said “This is a dream come true for me and it couldn’t have come at a better time– my old car was on its last legs and I was trying to borrow money for another second hand one – when I heard I’d won a new Mini Cooper, I thought it was a wind up – the Mini is my favourite car – I prefer it to a Ferrari or a Porsche”.
